Forevid 1.2.1Forevid is a free, open-source software for the forensic analysis of surveillance videos. The objective of the Forevid project is to offer a free and easy-to-use tool for the law enforcement and forensic community, containing similar features as the corresponding commercial software. Forevid offers you an extensive set of features required in your forensic case work, including e.g. various options for video playback, processing and result documentation. Forevid uses well-known Avisynth frameserver as its video processing backend. You can use Forevid for different purposes. The software also includes advanced options, including generic decoder and post-processing tools, user-defined filters, and more. Forevid should appeal to users of all abilities who are looking for a quick way to edit down video files. You can either use it as an intuitive and simple tool for previewing surveillance videos, or as an advanced tool for enhancing low quality videos, analyzing the events in videos and documenting your analysis results. Forevid is developed at the Forensic laboratory of National Bureau of Investigation, Finland. The software is freely available under the terms of GNU General Public License.
