Free Download Manager 3.9.7 / Beta

Free Download Manager is a powerful, easy-to-use and absolutely free download accelerator and internet download manager. FDM accelerates downloads by splitting files into sections and then downloading them simultaneously. As a result download speed increases up to 600%, or even more! FDM can also resume broken downloads so you needn't start downloading from the beginning after casual interruption. Moreover, FDM is 100% safe, open-source software distributed under GPL license. Its features include integration with all browsers Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Google Chrome, support of downloads from BitTorrent, adjusting traffic usage and more. Using FDM you can also easily grab videos from video sharing website sites. The video can then be saved in native .flv format or converted to one of more popular video formats.

Free Download Manager Lite version lacks some functions such as BitTorrent support and video conversion that can be downloaded and installed as plugins later.

Changes in Free Download Manager Beta:
Internet Explorer integration (not fully tested yet)
Windows: sometimes main window was not activated on intercepting downloads from browsers
Fixed a problem with some HTTP return codes for sections
Minor UI fixes
Fixed a crash
