QIP Shot 3.4.3

QIP Shot is a small, yet effective application that helps you capture your screen activity. It works both as a screenshot taking tool and a screen video recorder. You can capture the entire screen, an active window or a selected region of your desktop, a rounded area, and even can capture the entire scrolling area in a window, document, or web browser. You can further customize the snapshots by adding text annotations, insert lines, arrows, freehand drawings and more.

The finished screen capture can be saved to a file in 5 different graphics formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP), copied to the clipboard, or printed and shared by email. What's more, you can effortlessly upload it on the web to the free QIP hosting service and also generate a link that allows you to share the image with others. As for the screen video recording, the program enables you to record desktop videos with and without sound (e.g. your microphone) using a codec and compression options of your choice and also allows you to adjust the frame rate or video quality settings.

The Broadcast feature gives you even more sharing options, broadcasting part or all of your screen via Twitch.tv, CyberGame.tv, Ustream and even to a custom server. Moreover, QIP Shot runs in the system tray for quick access via the right-click menu. If you are looking for a lightweight screen capture tool that combines both screen capturing and screen recording, QIP Shot is a good choice that won't cost you a thing.
