SubSeek is a useful shell extension for Windows that allows you to search for and download subtitles from multiple websites. Just click the right mouse button on a movie file and choose from the Windows Shell menu “Download Subtitle”. The rest happens automatically - the program will download and save the latest subtitles to the same directory where a movie is located. SubSeek can also be used to download subtitles of multiple video files in a single instance. If you have multiple video files selected over Windows Explorer, right-click on any of them, and choose “Download Subtitle”. Downloading subtitles has never been so easy!
SubSeek doesn’t search for the movie name but instead it calculates the checksum, so it doesn't matter if the files don't have the right name or the format they're in, the program will always find the right subtitles for your movies and TV shows. When the process is complete, you may also right click a listed movie and select to look it up on IMDB for various information such as Release Year, Movie Name, Genre and Rating.
SubSeek uses the database of the most popular subtitle providers (OpenSubtitles, SubDB and Subscene) and can find subtitles for your movies and television series in SubRip (.srt) subtitle format which is supported by various media players. SubSeek supports any type of video format, it doesn't matter which codec or extension your file uses. The idea is simple, download quality subtitles for your movies in the simplest way possible.
SubSeek is a great tool for subtitle searching and matching for movies and TV Shows. No more searching for matching subtitles, downloading, unpacking and renaming subtitles to match the movies. If you need subtitles for your movies, SubSeek will help you find them immediately, without going through countless web sites.
