WordPod 1.2
WordPod converts an e-book into a set of files which can be read on any modern iPod (one with a dock connector). WordPod creates books that feel like part of an iPod. Navigate by chapter or by page number, using the standard iPod interface. WordPod generates books that work even without WordPod installed. Share them with friends, or publish your own iPod novel. With WordPod, you can read any of the 16,000 classics available at the Project Gutenberg library. WordPod requires Java version 5 or later.
Quickstart Guide:
- Find a book in .txt format. (If you don't have one handy, try the Project Gutenberg library.)
- Start WordPod, click Add and select the book. At the options screen, press OK, then when it has imported, enter a title and click OK.
- Tick the checkbox next to your book.
- Connect your iPod. (Make sure it's enabled for disk use; you can turn this on from iTunes' preferences.)
- Click Sync.
The book should now be on your iPod, under Extras / Notes.
