ratDVD 0.78.1444

ratDVD shrink a complete video DVD – usually the size of 4.3 Gigabyte – into a much smaller file of about 1 to 2 Gigabyte - while preserving all the features of the original DVD. RatDVD allows you to keep the full DVD feature set and watch it on any DVD player - without loosing any features of the original DVD. That is what RatDVD can do for you. The resulting ratDVD file can then be played directly in a computer (as long as the needed codec has been installed) by a DirectShow-compatible DVD player like Windows Media Player - with all the options the original DVD movie would give you, or converted back into standard DVD format. Just by double clicking without the hassle of having to handle different files or the need to use special programs. ratDVD can be converted back to the original DVD and played on any stand-alone DVD Player or played directly on a PC with a number of software players/media centers.

IMPORTANT:
- ratDVD cannot handle copy protected DVDs, you need to have a DVD that is not CSS protected.
- ratDVD is no longer being maintained by its creator, with the latest version dating from 2005.
