MPC-HC (Media Player Classic - Home Cinema) is an easy to use media player with a simple interface so that new users will not be overwhelmed by the myriad of options usually found on larger, more resource hungry media players.

Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, is a derivative of Media Player Classic, a no-nonsense alternative to Windows Media Player. MPC-HC isn’t flashy but it works with nearly any media format. MPC-HC uses DXVA technology to pass decoding operations to your modern video card, enhancing your viewing experience.

You can play DVDs, AVI, ASF, WMV, WMA, MP4, MOV, 3GP, MKV, DivX, WAV (including DTS), AAC, AC3, FLV, RMVB and more. And MPC-HC supports both physical and software DVDs with menus, chapter navigation, and subtitles.

MPC-HC 2.3.5 changelog summary:
LAV Filters have been updated to version 0.79.2-19-g2bf67, and MPC Video Renderer to version 0.8.6.2282. The "Default Style" subtitle option has been renamed to "Override Default Style" for clarity. It now only affects the "Default" style, with a new option added to override all embedded styles in SSA/ASS subtitles. The setting is now disabled by default to ensure correct subtitle rendering. Mouse settings have been moved to a new Mouse options page, and related settings have been reset. The modern volume slider now scales with toolbar buttons. Several small fixes and improvements have been made.
