NVIDIA 3D Vision Player is a video player that supports 3D Vision display. The NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player will let you experience immersive 3D movies with NVIDIA 3D Vision. It allows you to play stereoscopic videos and DVDs and also allows you to watch live video from a capture device. NVIDIA 3D Vision Player can handle almost any media format, for example AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MP4, 3D Blu-ray files, WMV, MOV, MKV, FLV. Videos can be coded in several different stereoscopic formats. Other notable features include DXVA2-based GPU hardware accelerated video decoding, 3D Vision window mode video playback with both Window Aero on and off, themes support, Windows Media streaming, 3D-DVD playback 1, and more.

What other codecs does the 3D Vision video player support so I can play other file formats?

The 3D Vision Video Player supports a variety of file formats including Video for Windows (*.avi), MPEG-1 (*.mpg), MPEG-2 (*.mpg, *.m2ts, *.mts, *.ts), MP4 (*.mp4), Blu-ray files 3D (*.ssif), Windows Media (*.wmv, *.asf), QuickTime (*.mov), Material Exchange Format (*.mxf), Matroska (*.mkv) and Flash (*.flv).

NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player Codec Pack

Supported codecs are separated by internal and external. For more media formats like WebM, H264/AVC, H265/HEVC, AC3, AAC, TrueHD, the NVIDIA 3D Vision Player will prompt you to download and install the latest LAV Filters and/or, based on your operating system, the FFDShow Tryouts. No need to install different codecs, decoders or a codec pack all the time when using NVIDIA 3D Vision Player.

Additional compatibility: Popular codec packs like K-Lite Codec Pack can provide the necessary codecs for the 3D Vision Player to function. If you already have a codec pack installed, try playing videos in the 3D Vision Player. In some cases, it might work out of the box. Download a codec pack - if you don't have any codecs, consider downloading a reputable option like K-Lite Codec Pack.
